On l’attendait, elle est venue d\u00e8s le deuxi\u00e8me jour de cette Universiade! Ce matin, dans le brouillard et sous les flocons d’Alatau, le biathl\u00e8te savoyard Baptiste Jouty a d\u00e9croch\u00e9 la premi\u00e8re m\u00e9daille d’or de la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation tricolore au terme d’une course dure et ind\u00e9cise jusqu’ au bout!<\/p>\n

Auteur du second temps sur les skis (1.01.41) et d’un joli 18\/20 au tir, l’\u00e9tudiant en Master IEAP \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 Savoie Mont Blanc a pourtant bien failli passer \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de son r\u00eave.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Sur ma toute derni\u00e8re balle, j’ai eu un probl\u00e8me de culasse. Derri\u00e8re, je cogite et je rate la cible. Sur le coup, j’\u00e9tais assomm\u00e9, je m’en voulais \u00e9norm\u00e9ment<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0. D’autant que quelques minutes plus tard, le Russe Sergye Korastylev, en t\u00eate depuis le d\u00e9but de la course, se pr\u00e9sente pour dernier tir debout, fort d’un 15\/15. Mais apr\u00e8s trois premi\u00e8res balles r\u00e9ussies, il craque \u00e0 son tour et allume rouge par deux fois. Un seul autre concurrent est alors en mesure de priver Jouty du titre : l’autre Fran\u00e7ais Matthieu Legrand! Parfaitement dans le coup lui aussi, il rate \u00e0 son tour deux de ses cinq derni\u00e8res balles (18\/20 au total) pour finalement mourir \u00e0 la quatri\u00e8me place, \u00e0 29 secondes seulement du podium. \u00ab\u00a0C’est dur \u00e0 avaler, mais c’est comme \u00e7a<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb avouera-t-il, fataliste, quelques minutes apr\u00e8s la course.<\/p>\n

Tr\u00e8s entour\u00e9 dans l’aire d’arriv\u00e9e, Baptiste Jouty savoure quant \u00e0 lui son bonheur : \u00ab\u00a0Aujourd’hui, j’\u00e9tais bien sur les skis. C’est mont\u00e9 crescendo pendant la course, j’\u00e9tais de mieux en mieux. A l’arriv\u00e9e c’est une grosse satisfaction qui, je l’esp\u00e8re, laisse augurer de belles choses pour les jours \u00e0 venir\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n

Derri\u00e8re le deux h\u00e9ros heureux et malheureux du jour, les trois autres Fran\u00e7ais en lice ont sign\u00e9 un joli tir group\u00e9 : Cl\u00e9ment Dumont (15\u00e8me), Dany Chavoutier (17\u00e8me) et Yohan Huillier (24\u00e8me).<\/p>\n

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 ski de fond, l’\u00e9preuve de poursuite n’a pas souri aux clan tricolore. En piste pour un nouveau podium, apr\u00e8s sa troisi\u00e8me place la veille sur 10km, Alexandre Pouy\u00e9 a du se contenter d’une cinqui\u00e8me place. Louis Schwartz, Lo\u00efc Guigonnet et Micka\u00ebl Philippot se classent respectivement 13e, 14e et 18e.<\/p>\n

Les filles r\u00e9alisent quant \u00e0 elle une superbe performance d’ensemble : C\u00e9line Chopard-Lallier remonte sept places pour se classer 14e, Coralie Bentz termine 8\u00e8me (1 place gagn\u00e9e), L\u00e9a Damiani 11\u00e8me (5 places gagn\u00e9es) et Marion Buillet 15\u00e8me (7 places gagn\u00e9s \u00e9galement). Prometteur en vue des \u00e9preuves de relais.<\/p>\n
